I don't do well at transplanting any kind of plant. Fortunately our place has a few really pretty peonies - white and a really old fashioned pale pink one. The neighbor down the street moved, but he gave me a few red ones to transplant. If it hadn't been for my husband, they wouldn't have survived. At least they're coming up. I hope I didn't plant them too deep????

Today I posted on my blog a still life image of some peonies I photographed several years ago. You can see the image at http://photographyhints.blogspot.com

really glad that you appreciate our musings on how society can and should support all individuals and relationships! we're spending more and more time thinking about how to engage our grassroots memberships (8,500 nationwide) to press for both national policy and local institutional change. if you'd be willing to share some of your thoughts about organizing, I'd be most grateful! - Nicky Grist, executive director, Alternatives to Marriage Project (and Brooklyn garden fan)

I still plan to vote for McCain, but I have to admit that I would like to hear Palin explain this one. This type of hunting is cruel and shouldn’t happen. However, I have a similar issue with Obama because he wouldn’t support Federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act which gives human status to babies who survive abortions. I just recently posted on both of these issues in my blog at http://preservetherepublic.wordpress.com/. The right and left both seem inconsistent on this. It seems to me that the same peope who would be against aerial hunting would be pro-life and vice versa.
Anyway, this is the first legitimate attack on Palin that I have seen.
