Of course, it never really stops. But there is always that first weekend when you have a sense that winter is over, plants are beginning to grow again, the rush is on. Working in the front yard, it felt great to brush aside some dead, matted leaves and see green underneath. Besides the front garden, I also put some work in at the Phoenix Garden and at Granite Street. And at Granite, I actually began planting seeds– favas, arugula, and early mizuna.
